I have a Access 2007 app that is/has been developed on a Windows 2008 Server machine. The application runs fine on Windows XP and Windows 7 but exhibits some strange behaviour when run on Windows 10. One form has a subform on it that allows the user to enter data into it. When the form is opened up on WinXP or Win 7 it opens fine and the subform allows the user to edit/create new data records or change the data BUT when the form is opened up in Windows 10 the subform acts as if it is read-only - it will not allow data entry or changes - it is as if the open command used the acReadOnly descriptor which it does not do. The most interesting thing about this problem is the the form in question WAS NOT TOUCHED in the current version of the db app - in fact it hasn't been touched since WinXP was the development OS! I have tried making minor changes to the form to see if that would fix the problem when the form was recompiled but that has had no effect either!
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to correct this - upgrading to Office365 would be a very expensive proposition as the entire company would have to upgrade and all of the Office 2007 Professional software products work just fine other than this one glitch with the Access 2007 application????
