Can you explain what you mean by the extension file?

i'm using win 7 and if i navigate on the windows explorer, i can't see what kind of extension file a document is. it just simply says, document file, or microsoft access 2007 datenbank.

Unlike with xp you can see that it has mdb. or .doc, .xls. This one you couldn't find in windows 7.

This is actually a windows option rather than access.

The easiest way to find it (I think) is click 'start' (or whatever its called now, the round button) and in search type "Folder Options", press enter.

Now click on the "View" Tab

Under Advanced Settings you'll see a box checked "Hide extensions for known file types"

Uncheck this box and press okay and you're all set.
