Optical Character Recognition technology with Ms Access Application

Hi guys, i would like to know if it is possible to attach a OCR (Optical Character Recognition technology) device to a MS ACCESS application in order to auto populate a form's fields with information available on a passport or ID card?
Kindly see video on the following link to understand what i mean https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7rKhl5yz44

I don't think you can do so direct into Access - may need to scan into e.g. Word/Excel first then import.
See these links for doing this via Word/Excel:

With regard to trying to do this direct into Access, have a look at this link

Hopefully someone else will know of a solution but I've never heard of this being done
You can use an InkEdit control on a form to convert hand drawn text into actual text for filling in form fields ... but that's not quite the same thing!

You CAN do it...just in 2 steps.
Use OCR software to import into a form in Word or Excel.
Then import that data into Access

Alternatively you need to purchase specialised software for doing it direct into Access
