This changes default database save location, not export location (see below thread #4 for instructions on that).

    File
    > Options > General

set "Default database folder:" by clicking "Browse" and selecting the desired location. You may select a folder on your computer if the database you normally connect to is located on it or an accessible network share drive/folder. Just throwing this out there because I was not provided the details but be sure the location of this database you normally connect to is being shared to the network and both permissions permit and firewall does not block connections from the desired computers on the network.

I tried that. It does change the default location for creating new db. But does not change the default folder for import/export wizard.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.

This is an intermediate solution to the problem, about 90% solution.

    1. Right click Access item (or do it in the ribbon bar), select export, click browse, select the "Includes: X location" (in this case it is 1 location).

    4. Attempt to export again, click browse and then you can immediately hit enter key or click Save even though the top of the navigation window dialog will say it is in the default Documents folder it is really the location you set the default location to by following the aforementioned steps.

    5. After you immediately hit enter the new address will appear.

Again, this is not a 100% solution but it is better than navigating into the oceanic folder depths or across the moon to the typical location you export to, it is definitely a shortcut through the woods.
