Getting data from accde with hidden tables

I have an accde database, not split, with its tables set to hidden. This is preventing me from seeing the tables from another database in order to link/import the data. I have the accdb and can make changes, but when putting it back into production I need to keep that data and not overwrite it with the old data in the accdb.

How can I get to this data? The accde is closed, I cannot create queries.

then you should split the db.
then relink the backend to the accde.
even tho the tables are hidden , they may accept the relink because you know the table names.

(tho, why hide the tables, if its in an accde?)

in your non split db, menu: database tools tab,
click ACCESS DATABASE (a terrible name for split)
it will ask you to split, and assign name to the backend, ..._BE.accdb
    accept.

Then once split, choose EXTERNAL DATA tab,
    LINKED TABLE MANAGER,
    click SELECT ALL button (right)
click the CHECKBOX (btm left) ALWAYS PROMPT...
click OK ,then choose the ACCDE.

it SHOULD accept the tables inside, (tho Ive never tried)
and you may have to relink every table 1 by 1. But sometimes it does them all at once.

What I meant when I said that the database is closed and I can't even create queries - means there is no ribbon either. There is File which gives Print and Exit.

I created another database with a function to open the accde and change the options to allow bypass key, to show the full menu, etc. So much for Access security!
