Linked table from SQL doesn't contain entire table

I have a SQL 2005 table that is linked to an Access 2007 table. the SQL table has 179 records, but the Access table only has 49.

Why would Access limit the fields it pulls across in a linked table?

Any help or advice would be appreciated!

    data source issue

the linked table used a data source from a separate DB in SQL.

here's a good example of why it's important to clearly identify your testing environment as such in all related areas. The view-only user I created in SQL to define the data source in Access had the same name and since it wasn't labeled "testing viewer" (or something) I never recreated when I moved into Production.

    I fail at cool.
