Insert Hyperlink into Form from Table

Have another question of the "must be an easy way to do this"genre.
I Have an Inventory Table with an associated Inventory Form. All fields in the table are also in the form. Form is for data entry into the table.

I want a control or something in the form that when DblClked will open a LinkedFiles table (that is nothing but hyperlinks to local files) and insert the hyperlink that is DblClked (or selected and inserted with an Insert button or something) into the Inventory form and then return you to the Inventory form. I have seen this functionality in an old database but can't get into it to see how it is done.

Any help will be appreciated but go slow I'm new at this.

    Thanks

Not sure what you are asking for. Do you want to duplicate the hyperlink string in two tables? Why?

There will be one table with all of the file links in it (100s). Each record in the Inventory form can be loaded with just the files that apply to that record ( a bearing datasheet for a bearing say). Maybe a file table is an unnecessary intermediate.

I still don't understand what you want to accomplish.
