    Run application problem

Maybe I can explain this better. In access 2005, I used to be able to create buttons that would open up programs from the database. The wizard would come up, and under "appliation" it gave options of word, excel, or "run application" where I'd go find the location of the program. With the 2010 access version, whenever I use the command button wizard and choose "application" the only option is "quit application". Is there any way to be able to launch an application like word, or excel from the database? I have a mailing service application that I'd like to put on the database. thanks.

Take a look at Shell and FollowHyperlink in VBA help.
