    display single digit

    Hi,

I have a CONDO table with unit numbers (among other things) and am trying to generate a report from this table with the data grouped by floor numbers.

How would I display the floor number taken from the unit number (the first digit)? Can this be done in a query?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Try the LEFT function.

    Cheers,
