    switching int/double

    why, if I change my records from double to int, I get a massege that my records will be deleted?



    could anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

    Double caters for decimal data while int only has whole numbers, the Db wouldn't? delete the records, it would just remove any decimal values ie 1.2 would just become 1.

    If this is a once off, first create copy of the table.

    Change the field type and save your table. Copy the field column in the copied tables and past it over the whole column in the saved changed table.

    but it dasnt just remove decimal values, it deletsthe records.
