    Query format questions!! Help!!

    Hey all.

Scenario: I have 16 records in one table and 9 in the other. When I make my query, the table with 9 has every individual record. BUT the table that has 16 duplicates the first entry 9 times, and I don't get to see the other records. Is there a way around this?! I've tried the "return" option, but it doesn't change my predicament.

Also, is there a way to format a query to look like this:

Box 01 (Table Name) Box 02 (Another Table) Box 03 (Another Table)
Geography (Field within the above tables) North America Mexico West Indies

The main table has the 9 recs and all 16 of the other link to 1 record? Are you joining on a common field?

There are two tables, one with 9 records and the other with 16.
Yes, I'm joining a common field.

Then if you want to see what is NOT in the child table you must use an OUTER join.
