    Problem With Date

I have an access database that keeps track of employees time and works off a fiscal year. Our new fiscal year started on 6/30/2010. On that day at midnight the program quit working and is readfing the new fiscal year as 1/12/1900. In the table that sets the first pay period I put 6/30/10 which is the first pay of the new year. It has worked fine for the last 4 years. Any idea what i might check ? I did not write the program and the guy who did has since left.

Hard to say without seeing the db. Is there perhaps a "fiscal year" table that doesn't include the current date?

I added fiscal years 2009 thru 2012 to tblPayPeriod and the combo appears to open properly populated. See attached. See if that works for you.

    Regarding your PM:

That is great the only issue I have is our Fiscal years don't always start the same date. It is based on a 26 week pay period or 27 if a leep year. So I have data in the database that keeps track of employees time as a running sum but fails when i get to the 28th as i am sure you seen. The solution you provided was great except I will loose two days. Any other suggestions ?

We like to keep discussion of issues in the threads rather than in the PM system, as someone searching for help on a problem later could be helped by the discussion.

The dates I put in were what I assumed were correct. You should enter the actual start dates for each fiscal year. I assume that's how the system is designed to operate, though in truth I didn't look that closely once I got valid dates in the combo. Let me know if putting the actual start dates doesn't resolve the issue. If not, let me know what those dates are and where exactly you see the problem.
