Has anyone done a grid map in a form?

I'm working on a database where we need to document sections of a sq acre where work has been done. I would like to have some sort of interactive grid in a form. Like the one posted below. Where we can select D,E,F to signify east half or 1 to signify north border and so on. And it display in a table by recording the coordinates. has anyone done something like this? how did you do it or anyone have any ideas on how to do it?

Yes, I've done similar things either by selecting an entire row or individual boxes, I haven't done click and drag to highlight multiple boxes at a time though. This can be as simple as an on click event of a box changing the color then running append records against boxes with a specific color. I'd really need much more information on how you intended to use it to direct it any further than that.

Well in that acre we need to apply pesticides and we need to document where in that acre we applied it.
whole acre north border. West half or maybe just a corner.

CRobledo, will the grid always be the way it is above or could it vary in size, number of boxes, etc.? What other fields do you need to capture for each acre or each box in the grid or is it just the grid box and the datetime it was sprayed? What is your unique key value to track each acre(LotID or something)? Will a lot be in there just once or will you have multiple records for a Lot? Could one Lot have multiple Acres to spray? Maybe give us an example of what your tables and fields would look like?
