query critera not accepting -- (two dashes)

I have query that looks for invoice numbers. A vendor sent and invoice that has two dashes, lik ARP--8907

When i run that as the criteria for my query it returns no results



When i try like "ARP*" it works

When i use another invoice like DAR-9934 it has no problems

As a note, this is a make table query. iT seem to work fine on a regular query

Are you putting quotes around it? "ARP--8907" should work. Can you post the SQL code for the query?

If found the error when looking at the sql code. It was looking for the criteria in the BillingInvoiceParty instead of the BillingInvoicID
