Input data into a form from a report open in dailog mode

I'm working on a database where eventually a colleague on another site will enter quotes for potential customers. At regular intervals I will access the data from our end, I need to be able to enter data into a form from information shown on the quote (report open in dialog mode).



I can get the report & form to open side by side but am unable to input data in the form (think it is because the report is in dialog). I need to be able to enter product codes ready to transfer if the customer goes 'live'.

I know an easy option would be to add the codes somewhere in the background, this would be far to complex though.

Does anyone have any ideas please?

Why bother re-entering the data by hand (possible to alter the original) instead of devising an import from the remote database?

you can show them (rpt/form) side by side , but it wont be live.
the report reads the data once, and shows it static.
the form is live. you can show a form live data.

Treat a report as an Output display. Use a form for any interaction. (as has been suggested)
