Refreshing records updated by multiple users moves current record focus

I am trying to have records updated that other users are adding/updating automatically (at least every 2-5 minutes).
There will be anywhere from 6 to 12 people on the database at their desks at any time.
It is a split database. Users are opening the same front-end.
I understand that this is probably a 'requery' task however the problem seems to be that each time the database is refreshed/requeried the user's focus moves off the record they are working on.

Appreciate some assistance in solving this issue.
    Thanks.

It is a split database. Users are opening the same front-end.
This worries me. Each user should have a copy of the FE on their computer. Should not use 1 copy for ALL users.

6 - 12 users in the same FE at the same time - this is a sure formula to corrupt the dB. Not a question of IF, just a matter of WHEN!

Thanks for the feedback. We will copy the FE of the database to each users' machine. Appreciate the tip.
