Exporting to app, is it possible?

I made a database in access. Then I saw the "Custom web app".
Do apps make it possible that I only need one copy of access and can have employees fill in forms from MS Edge or Google Chrome?
Is it possible to export my database it to a app?
Would it be better to start from scratch?

I have sharepoint.

I think the apps are limited in functionality in the respect that they only use macro's.
