How to keep your place when adding a new record

I use access to track inventory. When I notice an item in a new location I have to add a new record. When I do this I loose my place in the data. So I have to scroll through the data table to see where I left off. I need to be able to review and see if the items are in the correct location and that the quantities are accurate along with outer things I am tracking.

Ideally I would like to add a new record. Resort the data by location and return to the new record.

Not sure exactly what you are doing, but here is an older thread that dealt with INVENTORY.
I provided a sample database within the thread. It may be useful to you -- even the dialog in the thread may be of value.

You should interact using a form(s), not with a table directly.

Please reply to this thread with any new information or opinions.
