Unrecognised Database

.I have been using a "home made" access database for a number of years and yesterday the file refused to open, I just get message "Unrecognised Database Format"
Is there any way of recovering the file?

Step one, back it up now! Then you might try repairing the Office 2007 from the Delete Programs menu if Win8 has one.

Thanks for that, I should have mentioned that all other databases work ok, problem is just with one database

You could also try Restoring the system to a prior Restore Point.
