Question Query not found, but it is there

I have a mail merge Word document which links to an Access database, where there is a Query that is the data source.
This worked fine in Office 2000, but I have upgraded to Office 2010, and Word cannot find the Query.
    Any ideas?

    Much appreciated.

    Hey gdm,

You may want to check and see how you connected to the MS Access database. If you're connection is still using connection string from MS office 2000, that may be your issue.

Let me know if that works for you.

Thank you for your quick reply.
How do I check the connection strings?

I tried to recreate the query from scratch, and check at each step to see if Word is seeing the query. It was OK until I tried to add a function to a calculated field. All this was working fine in Access 2000. What do I have to do to make 2010 work with my 2000 database?

    Thank you,

    Gdm

Also, are you sure you typed in the correct name of the query (case, space, etc)?

I found the answer - it is not a spelling or location error.
I have learned that it is possible to connect from Word to an Access Table/Query in more than one way (OLE, DDE, etc.).
So, the way to change this was to set the Word option "Confirm file format conversion on open" to checked. When the document opened the first time, it prompted me for the method to connect. I changed the default OLE to DDE. Voila! Word saw ALL the queries.
The bad thing about this is that there is no help from Word or from Microsoft (unless you are willing to pay through the nose for support).

Thank you for your time and assistance.
