data entry property of form changes to Yes on its own.

I have a form created from a table with a combo box to display a specific record. I set the data entry property of the form to No. However for some reason when I close and reopen the form the data entry property changes to Yes.

I have two practically identical forms like this, and what's strange is when I open the first one the data entry property is Yes, but when I open the second one the data entry property is No. If I open the second one without opening the first one the data entry property is Yes.

What is code that opens forms?

If you want to provide db for analysis, follow instructions at bottom of my post.

There is no code. I just double click on the form name in the left column.

The described behavior seems very odd. Would have to review your db.
