Conditional Formatting - Transparent Background

Good morning,

Is anyone aware of how to set my background to transparent when using conditional formatting? I have a datasheet that alternates between a white and grey background. One of the fields has a conditional format applied and makes the background in that entire field the same (white). I would like to make the background transparent so the alternating row color still takes effect in that field.

If you set background of control to transparent in design mode and then in conditional formatting set only fore colour (without touching background colour) its background stays transparent, just tested on report in A2010.

Any other thoughts? Is this even possible?

I don't know what else to suggest, it works for me so yes - it's possible. Maybe try other way around? Set up conditional formatting then change control background to transparent in design mode?
Also, I'm testing it in Access 2010, don't have 2013 to check if it works there too.
