    picture placement?

    Hi

I've embedded an image and set the properties in Form Properties to

    tiling - no

    picture alignment - centre

    picture size mode --clip

    width - 17cm

In design view the the picture is centred

However in form view the image appears to be centred on my screen with the form anchored to top left corner.

I have played with different settings to no avail.

    Has anyone any ideas

    thanks

    Ian

You can resize the control that contains your picture. While in Design View of your form, place the control in a particular position within your form. If you are having trouble moving the control, be sure that 'Layout' is removed from the control. You can remove Layout by right clicking the control, then Layout > Remove Layout.

    hi

    thanks for the info

the way I placed the image was to select the properties of the form ie open the form in design view, selected form properties and then used the format tab to get to the picture settings.

At the risk of appearing dense, if I right click on the form I see no option to remove layout .

If I right click on a control on the form and right click I seee the option layout but remove layout is greyed out.

Is a better way to add an image to add an unbound object frame and attach an image to that?

    thanks

I thought you used a Control with your picture. It sounds as though you added a picture to your form. Perhaps it is more desirable to use a control for your picture.

While in Design View of your form, you can click on the Design tab within the Ribbon. There, you will see various controls that can be added to your form. Just to the right of the various controls, there is a tool 'Insert Image'. Select a blank area of your form or the Detail bar of your form then click the Insert Image tool and browse for an image. After you choose an image, click your form to add the picture.
