deceased - all info about the dead guy.
memorial (more than one for a dead person) - info specific to that single memorial... ALSO this is the important bit.. a foreign key relating to the deceased table.

so that one record in deceased.. has multiple records elsewhere that use its FK to combine all the data.

    Hi

as usual I'm a bit lost but

the tblgraves is one to many because each grave can contain multiple bodies

tbldeceased contains all the details relating to one deceased person

So table graves is one to many with tbl deceased.

tblmemorial are memorials which link to tblgraves and as each grave can contain several deceased each grave can have several memorials.

To further complicate matters it a husband and wife are buried in two locations there may be a single memorial on one of the graves and nothing on the other.

It's all confusing and I'm still not sure I've got my head around it.

I'll have another look this evening

    thanks

    Ian

    one grave = many deceased
many deceased = many memorials (husband and wife may have two)

that's what I get from your posts. Where are memorials located? on a grave plot?

so you have a list of plots... assign a memorial and a deceased?

    correct anything that's wrong.
