Smile One table per 2gb Database, Many Databases

    Hi All

Yes, you've heard it said many times before "This is my first post, so please be gentle".

In attempting to make an Access database 'system' as useful as possible size wise I'm considering making a bunch of Access databases, describing only one table in each database, and then linking all the databases, as necessary to make a database of MS Access databases. Effectively this could give me a much larger database (really a bunch of databases).

Q 1) Has anyone tried this?
Q 2) Has anyone ever had to migrate out of doing the same?
Q 3) What ended up being limits?

    Cheers, David

Nothing as such. I'm just trying to figure on how to max out the useful size of access as a DB.

I have linked two tables from two separate Access databases with success on only one occasion.

Thanks for that Alan. I guess what I'm trying to find out is; if many databases are connected by linked tables, how does it go when limits are reached? Has anyone experience with this.
