Today, i was told to create a advanced query for my Hotel Database, but my tutor said one advanced query wasn't enough, she wanted more...
She told me i need to make a query that shows the availability of the rooms after the customer's had checked out (Signed the Invoice).
But, i've also got the 'Signed Invoice' check box which makes it so much more difficult, because if the 'Signed Invoice' isn't ticked it means the customer hasn't checked out so this leaves the room unavailable, but i do not know how to calculate the 'Room Availability'.
I know i must calculate with 'Leaving Date', 'Room Booked' and 'Signed Invoice' (maybe 'Date Booked').
Can anyone tell me a formula to solve my problem?
PS - I don't know what formula to enter after (field on the right) 'Surname'' on design view or what formula to enter on any criteria fields. Also, sorry for being a novice as i'm relatively new to Access (well, not that new but not great at it). I do know how to do simple queries such as totalling up the cost, finding out 5% of employee's wages etc... but nothing advanced :S
