    Cross Tab Query

    I have a database of students' results, a query of which gives me the following information for pass%:

    b y s %
    1 1 1 75
    1 1 2 80
    1 2 1 85
    1 2 2 79
    1 3 1 78
    1 3 2 70
    1 4 1 80
    1 4 2 88

    and so on for other batches.., (each batch has 4 year's and each year has 2 sem's %ages)

    b=batch, y=year, s=sem, %=%pass

    I would like to present a summary report in the following format :

    b y=1 y=2 y=3 y=4
    s=1 s=2 s=1 s=2 s=1 s=2 s=1
    1 ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..%
    2 ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..%
    3 ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..%
    ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..%
    ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..% ..%

    Is it possible to generate such a report from the query?

    The CROSSTAB will have to combine the y and s fields to have a single field that can server as the column header criteria.

    Might be able to get the multi-row header in a Pivot Table.
    How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
