That is because the textbox has same name as the field referenced in the expression. Change the textbox name to something like: tbxMVR.

Done, and the error went away.
However, when I go back to report view, I'm still seeing the same thing I showed in the image in post 42. It's showing "Yes" for everyone, even though none of them have a "yes" in the MVR column of tblRelEventEmployee. For each of them, it should show a 0. There is only one employee that I have selected as MVR so that I could test the report, so he should be the only one with any "1"s.
Make sure the Format property of the textbox does not say Yes/No.

Ok, now we're getting somewhere. Now the MVR column does have a count, but none of them are 0... It seems to be counting the number of shifts worked as opposed to the number of times selected as MVR.
Sorry, try Sum instead of Count in the textbox expression.
Also, need to change the SQL statement to pull EmployeeID from tblEmployees and bind textbox to that field. And fix the EmployeeID header grouping field.
