Is it possible to use Access 2002 VBA to interface with a web API?

I have been given the task of adding two way communication to the Trello web site from my quite extensive Access 2002 application. Trello has a pretty extensive API that uses URL posts to allow information to be pushed to the web site.



I have been programming in Access 2002 for about 15 year and am fairly proficient at it, but when it comes to interfacing with a web site I am not sure how to accomplish it or where to begin. From what I can see there is no built-in functions for posting to a URL or getting info back from it.

Does anyone know if this is even possible with such an old version of Access?
