Opening 2010 Access DB with Access 2013

I have a number of older Access databases in Access 2010. Some I have been able to open with Access 2013, others not. How can I easily open these files without going to an old computer with Access 2010 and exporting the files to Excel and building a new database?

New information. As I tried again to open one of these older Access databases, the problem is partially Access 2013. Someway or the other, I'm the only user of the database, and I have never knowingly shared it, or made a replica, but that's the message when I try to open it with 2013 - Access 2013 doesn't recognize replica databases. I can open it in 2010, but then it says the replica is out of date, so I need to delete that replica and form a new one, from the original. Of course, what I am working with is the original. So it comes down to rebuilding the database!

What is the file extension for these older databases? If it is MDB, you will need to convert the file to an accdb before opening with 2013. Another option would be to link to an MDB file's tables using an accdb front end.

So what ItsMe is saying, if the files are mdb, you are stuck with finding a machine with Access 2010 so you can convert the files. If they are not mdb but already accdb, 2013 should be able to open and the mystery deepens.
How to attach file: http://www.accessforums.net/showthread.php?t=70301 To provide db: copy, remove confidential data, run compact & repair, zip w/Windows Compression.
