Move Add Exusting Fieds Outputs on form in design view

    http://www.functionx.com/access/Lesson22.htm

In the Lesson tutorial shown above I am clicking on tools and adding existing fields. I get a lot of output label and text box pairs for each field that I add.

However, they are all on right below the other. That is no problem just move them. No way.

Whenever, I move it a label and test box for say Order Status, I get ... nothing. It stays where it is.

They (label and text box) do not move together. So how do I get them to move together.

    Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,

if the text box and label are not moving together,
    select the label
    cut
    select the text box
    paste

    now they are together.

Okay, that should work, but let me explain one item - they are not moving together or otherwise. They
are riveted in place and cannot be move either singly or together.

That is my problem. I will try your solution now.

Okay your idea works. But is there any way to get them to move out of the column - in a pair and then I can reposition them - in a pair.

Okay, I have found a situation where cutting and pasting of the text boxes and labels will not work as suggested in the earlier post. I simply want to take a label and move it left about .25 inches.

When I cut and then paste the label, if I get anywhere close to the original position (and I will since I am moving it so slightly) it snaps back to it original position which is of course not what I wanted since I wanted to move it in the first place.

So how do I unhook the textboxes and labels? It seems like they are in a larger box (seen when moving things around as a broken line in the shape of a large box containing all labels and textboxes). It is not like they are hooked together; more they are anchored to the initial position. Period, cannot be moved.
    Thanks in advance.

Any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Respectfully,
