    Button ontop of a shape

    Hi,

Is it possible to draw a rectangle on a form and then have a button on top of this as I would like to have a different colour background for the area around the button?

Yea there is a rectangle draw selection in the same area as the buttons, textboxes, combo boxes, etc. Draw you rectangle. then in the Format properties of the rectangle change the back color to whatever you want. Then drag your button over the rectangle where you want it, if the button doesn't show up on top then right click and select position -> send to front
