What happens when you try to open it? Are you getting some sort of error message?
Your database may be corrupt. But fear not, you can get around this.
Create a brand new blank database.
Then go to External Date - > Access and browse to your database.
Select the Import option, then highlight/select all your database objects and import them into this new database.
You should then have a brand new un-corrupted copy of your database.

    JoeM,
Thanks for responding so fast. I just tried the steps you suggested and I still get the same error message. I don't see where I can attach it here so I will try to add it to the original post.

I am unable to download files from my current location. Can you just tell us what the error message says?

I understand your urgency but it is being inconsiderate to responders who are trying to help to not let them know you are asking elsewhere and may be receiving the same solutions

    PLEASE EXCUSE ME MR. AJAX,
I haven't posted much and wasn't aware that I was being inconsiderate; I was just desperate for help. No malicious inconsideration intended, I assure sir. But I have been duly redressed. Thank you!
