    Exporting to Excel: Character Limitation?

    Hey Everyone,
When I export my data to an excel file, I am getting all of my memo fields capped at around 216 characters. Is there a reason for this? I noticed that Excel can handle more than 255 characters in a field, or at least when I tested it, so I am somewhat confused on why this is happening. Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Problem Solved

    Hey Everyone,
While searching around the internet, I seemed to have found a solution that fixes this problem.

What seems to be happening, when I select an Output To macro, it gives me three different file versions for Excel. All of these capped my memo fields around 216 characters. However, if instead I use the TransferSpreadsheet Macro and set the action arguments to Export, Microsoft Excel 8-10, and specify my table or query, the character limitation on memo fields are lifted.

However, when you use this function, it seems as though nothing happens. I did a search for the file and found that it was saving the files to the My Documents folder. So, in the macro, I added a message box command that states that the file has been saved to the My Docs folder. Hopefully this solutions helps someone else that is in the same situation.
