I have several Word documents set up to receive data merged from an Access database using the document bookmarks. This procedure has been working well for several years using first Access 2003 and more recently Access 2010. Today I installed Office 365. The merge documents no longer work. The code in the module assigned to the merge start to run and thenit stops when it tries to access data from the Access form which is referenced in the code. I get a runtime 6124 error telling me that the form is protected. Interestingly, the merge will work correctly if the Word document is not set up as "read only". However, I need to document to be read only so that when users merge data into the document the new data will not be saved unless the document is renamed ("save as").
Does this make sense?
Any suggestions?
