    PTO database design

I am trying to set up a database to keep up with PTO time for exempt employees. I have tried to find a template to help me get started. I also need to know how to calculate PTO using their date of hire. Can anyone help me with this? It would be for about 80 to 85 exempt employees.

    What is PTO?

Time & Attendance type of database is one of the harder to design and build. One big reason is that a timesheet form used by employees does not resemble normalized data entry structure.

    ladyrider696,

Welcome. I realize this is your first post here. But we don't know you nor your environment. Better to describe your issue/opportunity in plain, simple English --no jargon -- until readers get some understanding of the issue.

Whether or not you are familiar with database, I suggest you carefully layout a description of your business and processes and possibly a sample of what you're trying to accomplish in plain English.

    See PTO
