    Wink Creating A Timetable

Basically from my database, i want to create a timetable, that can be generated for every student, that shows all of the lessons they have chosen, and on what day this lesson is, every student can only choose a maxinum of 3 lessons. I only need this for one week by the way.

I've got a Query and Form with all the days and lessons listed, and my other fields are shown in my relationships. I was thinking the best solution for me would be using a report, although i was confused as how i could create a timetable that would do what i require for every student.

I have basically no experience in VB so if a solution involves using VB i would need extremley clear instructions (for dummies basically .)

Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks, Liam

I recommend you work through this tutorial from Rogers Access Library. It will lead you from a clear description of the business to a database structure designed to match your business needs. You do have to work through it, but you will learn the concepts of design. You can use what you have learned with your own business/issue and design the database. You must work through it to gain the experience. It should take about 30-45 minutes. Best 30 minutes you'll spend to learn table/relationships and design.

you dont need to know vb really. most everything can be done w macros. the macros can be used in events.
You dont need a form for every day of the week. You have 1 form , and select a day in it.
