I have an access database that was designed in 2010. One of the most useful features is the use of Macros...all of which I designed using the user friendly GUI interface (and no SQL or VBA).
However, I have noticed that I can't run these macros in Access 2007, and I also read that Access 2013 will not likely allow me to run the macros.
(1) Does anyone have any experience attempting to run Access Macros in 2013, even if the Macros were originally designed in 2010? Should I avoid upgrading to Access 2013 (or 2016) and plan to stick with Access 2010, perhaps?
(2) Also, would you recommend that I use MySQL or some other database option, rather than Access. In case it helps in giving me some good advice, I have about 10 large tables, and I have a daily routine that requires me to update one column in all of the tables, and then to run a few comparative queries on those tables, and then to export all of the updated tables to separate txt files.
Thanks for any suggestions!
