Convert Access 2000 to Access 2010

When I open an Access 2000 file in Access 2010, I was assuming that it would ask me what format I wanted to save the file in. However it just saved the file in the same .mdb format. I was assuming that it would ask me if I wanted to save the file in an accdb format. Is there a way for this to happen? Basically a way to convert an access 2000 database file to access 2010 format? If so how would I accomplish this goal?
**I do know that an access 2000 file when opened in access 2013, will show you can save the file format in an accdb or mdb file format. Is this possible Is this possible when the access 2000 file is opened with access 2010?
