In Search of Errors

In creating the Ceil Inn database I am wondering what is prevent an operator
from placing two separate people in the same room on the same day/night.

Also, what is to prevent an operator from seeking payment for a Ceil Motel stay
twice for the same stay period?



I am sure there other potential errors like this so how does the Ceil Inn database
protect against them.

Or does it?

It is only a tutorial and probably isn't considering all possible complications of its real-world application. If you want to use the db then will have to refine it to deal with these issues. Might be as simple as setting a compound index in table.
