    Query naming error help?

For my assignment it asks me to name one of my queries WasteOrExcessByProductComponentQuery. However when I do, I get an error when trying to make a report saying access engine cannot find input table or query Waste. Anyone know why it would be? It runs fine if query is named just Waste.

It sounds like the bound query is WASTE. Change it to WasteOrExcessByProductComponentQuery.

When I do and upon running the query, message pops out stating Enter Parameter Value for Waste.ComponentID. Also, I same error coming up on the report.

That error typically occurs when you specify something in the query criteria that Access cannot recognize. Is "Waste.ComponentID" used as criteria in the query? If it is, and the table "Waste" is not part of the query, you will get that error.

have you got a space after 'WASTE' in your query name? if so, put the whole query name in square brackets
