    Link Master Field Error

    Hi,
This is driving me crazy. I've attached my database below. There seems to be some problem with the link between my tables but I can't find a Master Field box in the properties of the form/subform. Help!

That's amazing, thank you! I had looked for an hour! Where did you find this? I have Access 2003

If you look at where the focus is, you'll notice it's on the perimeter of the subform, where you can size it. That's the result of clicking once on the subform. If I click on it again, focus will shift to the inside. So you want to open the form in design view, click once on the subform, then either right click to get the properties or View/Properties. At that point you should be viewing the properties of the subform control, rather than the subform itself.

Thanks Paul, found it. It seems to be set as it should be. What do I need to change to fix it? BTW when I look at the properties, I don't have a FilterOnEmptyMaster property field as you have. Does that make a difference?

No, I opened it with 2007. That's a new property. You haven't really said what the actual problem is (or I'm hung over and not seeing it). What is happening/not happening that you want to fix?

    Talking Link Master Field Error

Sounds like you had a good Saturday night! Gatorade and Advil has saved me more than once...

    Here's what happens...
I open the form and enter data in the main form--no problem. When I start to populate the subform, I get an error message:

"The LinkMasterFields property setting has produced this error: 'Procedure declaration does not match description of event or procedure having the same name'"

The ReferralNumber field on the main form has the appropriate value but the same field on the subform remains at "0".
