How to give access to multiple people to Access database via Internet

I have an Access database .. that I would like to allow up to 8 people to use. So .. that means coming up with some way to allow them to access it over the internet.



I know nothing about it .. as I have always just ran my Access databases on my personal computer.

So I am looking for solutions that would allow .. the other people to access this application. So .. one backend file and separate front ends files on each persons computer.

This can get really complicated. Common topic in forum. Research SharePoint, Azure, data enabled web pages using ColdFusion, Asp.Net, Apache, IIS, PHP, etc.

What about having the data in SQL Server and linking all the Access front ends to that SQL Server backend ?

If you want users to have internet access, quite possibly gets more complicated. Since I've never implemented any, can't say for sure.

However, if you are really talking about users just logging into the LAN from their workstations, that is entirely different.
