    Table/Query Invisible

    Hi,

I can see the source query in design view of another query. I want to edit the source query. When I go to query in Navigation Pane, I don't see that particular query. I tried to unhide all queries but still I can't see it.

    Much appreciate your expert advise.

    Thanks,
    Dad

Within the Navigation Pane, can you see a search field? It should be towards the top. If you do not see it, you can show or hide the search field via Options.

Just above the search field is a description of what types of Objects are displayed. Adjust the object types using the arrow on the left to display a list. Within the list of options, select Object Type and Show All Objects.

If you are using VBA to programmatically delete and create objects like tables and queries, they will not immediately appear in the Navigation Pane. You will need to refresh the Navigation Pane to view changes that are made programmatically.

it may be the query has been aliased in the query you are looking at. With the query in SQL design view, look for 'AS queryname", the table or query that ha been alieas will be just before e.g. ....myQuery AS QueryName....

Many thanks, Ajaz and ItsMe. I found that the designer has used alias in sql language. Thanks again Ajax.

    Thanks,
