    Formula in Query

I think I have seen something similar to my request previously, but have been unable to find it again.

I am looking to add a percentage column to my query results that is 30% of the adjacent currency value, but haven't been able to figure it out. Any help would be much appreciated.

    Best.

That seems perfectly logical, but I am still not accomplishing what I'm hoping for - I might be doing it wrong.

I have a column that is [Asset Sale Price] and I want an adjacent column, that does not exist in the table, to appear in query results that is 30% of [Asset Sale Price].

I'm hoping that my rephrasing might help - my first post was not very clear.

    What's wrong with Ajax's formula?

    [Asset Sale Price] * 0.3

    You want to deduct 30%?

    [Asset Sale Price] * 0.7

Show examples of result you want.

I do believe the formula presented by Ajax is correct - it makes perfect sense. Unfortunately, what I am experiencing is [Asset Sale Price] appears correctly, then next to it, which should be the 30% column, appears identical to [Asset Sale Price] instead of be 30% of it. What should I be doing?

Post the SQL statement of the query for analysis.

Thank you for your help - It turns out that it was user error. I was putting the formula in the criteria, instead of the field. I'm still a rookie.
