Issue on Opening a Microsoft DB Access file

Hi I am trying to open a DB file Access with Microsoft Access 2013 but the DB send me this error



"Database Format c:/../file.mdb not recognized"

i can't figure out what the problem is, someone can suggest me a solution?

Also Trying using Open Office, FileViewPro and MDBPlus but they didn't open it and get me the same error.

Usu it means you are opening a db newer than your Access version.
you can't open a 2010 db, using access 2003.

I believe, starting with 2013, you can link to MDB files but cannot open them directly. In order to use your old file directly, you will need to convert it to accdb using 2010 or 2007. Of course, some macros will not be of any use regardless.

First of all thank you for the replay.

I don't know the version of my Access MDB file, this is another thing,

and I only have the Microsoft Access 2013.. not older version...

Maybe there is someone local to you that can help you convert it to accdb or maybe you can link to it and rebuild the Front End
