Date Range Error when exporting report to PDF

I'm having an issue with a couple of reports. The header of the reports displays the start date and stop date from a form. The date controls on the form also provide the start and stop date for the reports underlying query. Pretty simple the report opens with the dates in the header and then the form is closed behind it.

My issue is when I export it to PDF or anything for that matter, it just says #Error in the header txt box. Has anyone ever had or been able to duplicate this issue? It works fine in access but not when the PDF is opened. Would it make a difference if the original form was still open behind the report when the export took place? Or is there another way to get the date range to the header that might work.

Try leaving the form open during export to answer your first question then we can explore alternatives if needed.

Is the header pointing at the form data: =forms!frmRpts!txtSTartDate
    or
in the query the rpt uses, put the 2 dates in the query as fields
    =forms!frmRpts!txtSTartSTartDate
    =forms!frmRpts!txtSTartEndDate
then the rpt just has to look at a normal field.
