Dear June7,Maybe there are no records starting with that letter? I made up a few fake records.
I did change the RunningSum to No, but with no results.
It does become more clear to me though. Two things I can mention here:
1) When double clicking the parameter query, while the MainFrm is open, it always gives the date of the form at present.
2) When clicking without the form being open, it gives the familiar "Name?
I hope this helps you to find a way?
It becomes even funnier.
When I open the MainFrm and search for a specific patient, then click the "Report" btn (PatientRecordRpt), it gives the exact date I want for the one single patient.
That just crashed Access.
Do I have the latest version?

Dear June7,
WE DID IT!
You see, with your help, I started to understand certain principles; thank you so much for that!
What I did: I went to the PatientSelectCharRptQry and added once more the Visit table, then added the 4 fields in the query, VisiDate, Item1, etc. and set them ALL to "Last".
I deleted the code in the textbox of the Report and entered the controlsource, "LastOfVisitDate", "LastOfItem1", etc.
I also deleted the (non-visible) text boxes on the MainFrm and removed the footer.
Now... I double click on the PatientSelectCharRpt, it asks for the starting letter of the Last Name, "Q" in this case, and...
ALL THREE REPORTS HAVE THE LAST VISIT DATE. Perfect!
Thank you so much for all your help!
