    Angry Summing totals in reports

I'm using Access for a Print Reduction project and I need to total the columns when I create a report by each department. The report runs from a query, I enter the department and it will list:
    Report Name
    Number of Times Run
    Estimated Total Pages for Year

    Estimated Total Reams for Year
    Estimated Total Boxes for Year
Estimated Total Number of Trees Saved

There are a number of reports for each department and I need the totals for each Estimated Label. I use function =sum ([Estimated Total Pages for Year]), which I have in the Footer section and all I get is #error.

    Please help!

That should work, presuming that's a field in the data. Make sure it's in the report footer rather than the page footer. Sum won't work in the page footer.

    Hi,
try to open your report in layout veiw and select the colum that you wish and then selec totals from the menu. it will add automaticly the sum at the end of the selected colum. as you add record it will make sum of that.

    Best regards,

    Report footer...of course!

That worked Paul, now it makes sense.

    Thanks!
