Calculations Limited

Hi good people!,

Please help me with this one, I feel rather depressed right now because of hours of reading, searching and not finding any joy. I have in my datasheet about 20 fields and the data types are numbers. The numbers range from 0 -2 only. I inserted a calculated field but cannot find how to use the expression builder to give me: 1). the lowest number in each record, 2). In another field the COUNT of the fields. I know the count = 20, but I was hoping to find a way that the expression would automatically update the count of the fields as I insert or maybe delete fields?.. Could someone please show me the way with this, any and all help will be accepted with great admiration and humility..(I know, I always say that..but it's true)

If you are counting fields, then it sounds like your table is designed wrong. Normally, you count data.

all counting is done by the query, not in a field. In the query, bring down the field to count, turn on grouping, turn on SUM , or COUNT under the field.

okay, well, I'm still lost on how to actually do this, but at least I now know that I cannot achieve what I want just by working in the database. Thanx for your response..
